Welcome to the new website for the Avon Free Library. Please check back here often for news about upcoming programs at the library, information on new books and other materials added to the collection, and helpful tips on how to make use of the many services available to you through your library.

Your library card

You know you can use your library card to borrow material from the Avon Library. But, did you know you can use that same library card in person at any of the 42 libraries in the Pioneer Library system to borrow books, DVDs, music CDs and computer games?

Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, you can use your card (and PIN) from your home computer to:

• Download audiobooks for use from your computer, MP3 player or iPod
• Check the due dates on the materials you borrowed and renew them
• Search for books and other material anywhere in the entire Pioneer Library system collection and have a title delivered to the Avon Free Library for you
• Do research for a school report by using a variety of online databases -- for free

Just click on the green-and-blue OWWL.org icon in the right-hand column of this page and check out the possibilities. Or, ask the library staff for help.
