2009 Summer Reading Finale

All summer reading participants are invited to our final celebration on Friday, July 31st at 1:30 p.m. There will be games, crafts, and face painting. Children will also receive a certificate of participation.

Don't forget to return your reading logs. The prize box has been stocked with some new and exciting prizes for our last week.

Corn Festival Book Sale

The annual Corn Festival Book Sale will take place on Friday, Aug 7th from 6:30 - 8:30 pm and Saturday, Aug 8th, from 9:00am - 4:00pm.

The Library is accepting books for this event. You can drop off your donations at the library. (Please note: no Readers’ Digest Condensed books, textbooks, or periodicals)

Summer Reading 2009 - Upcoming Events

Monday, July 13th @ 3:30 p.m. - Baby Goats

• Baby goats visit the library! Children of all ages are welcome.

Friday, July 17th @ 1:30 p.m. - Storyteller

• Storyteller Cris Riedel will perform "Artsy Tales." This program is designed for children entering grades K-6+. Younger sibilings and families are also welcome.

Monday, July 20th @ 2:30 p.m. - Family Musical Performance

• Musician Tom Sieling will perform his program, "Howl at the Moon with a Wild Thing Tune." This program is sponsored by the Avon Rotary.

Friday, July 24th @ 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. - Yoga Classes

• Learn Yoga poses from a certified Yoga instructor.
• 1:30 p.m. - Children entering kindergarten - grade 3
• 2:30 p.m. - Children entering grade 4 - 6

Weekly Story Times

• Tuesday Story Clubs @ 3:00 p.m. (entering pre-k - grade 1)
• Friday Story Time @ 10:30 a.m. (toddler/pre-k)

Holiday and Summer Hours

The library will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of the 4th of July holiday.

Starting July 4, the library will be closed on Saturdays for the summer. Saturday hours will resume after Labor Day.
